Thought for the day...

For those of you that were around when the internet was in full swing, when AOL was used for dial-up to get on the world wide web.

Ever wonder what happened to those old web sites you used to frequent? I just came across an old book I had kept of email addy's of people I used to chat with on Netcentral. There was one room I always frequented, which was the red dragon Inn. I went by the name Tristar. Don't ask where the name came from, just one of those crazy names I invented.

Feel free to reply in my journal if you care to share some memories of those days.

So I am in possession of a new a tarot deck as of yesterday.

Funny how this set found me.

I walked into the metaphysical shop I go to and something kept drawing me to the tarot decks. Two called out to me and I didn't know which one to get, so I used my necklace as a pendulum to see which one it was. When I put my necklace over one deck, it went crazy swaying back and forth rapidly vice standing still with the other..so I'm like ok, message received.

If you are wondering which one choose me, look up white light oracle.

That looks like an interesting deck.. I find all of mine by intuition like you have...and they work better that way

Indeed they do, and perchance you have a deck that don't work for you, sometimes that deck was meant to be in someone else's hands.

I'm happy

So yesterday I traded off my Nissan Rogue (the star wars special edition one) and bought me a more comfortable ride. I got a 2021 Jeep Cherokee. Yes I am back in the Mopar family. So now parked in my driveway is a Chrysler 300, Ram 1500, and my Jeep.

I should have learned my lesson straying away from Mopar when I had bought a Saturn Vue. Back then I was desperate to get out of the PT Cruiser, (another bad mistake purchase).

But this Jeep is so comfortable. I do a lot of driving for my job and I was always fatigued when I was driving the Rogue. Plus after 4 yes I had put 68,000 miles on it. Granted it was getting 32 mpg on the hiway, but my jeep...already off the lot, 25 mpg.

Again a good investment, and in my favorite colors, blue and black.

So yesterday I decided to make some Chakra necklaces for a few of my friends requesting them and my mom. I tell you what, I had to take my own Chakra necklace off because my brow/third eye was opening up and causing me to have a major migrane. Dealing with Chakra energy is no joke. It's very powerful stuff if your not careful or grounded enough. But then again I'm trying to balance 3 of my own chakras. Throat, brow, and crown. I discovered through the use of a pendulum on how to find blocked chakras and apparently those 3 are blocked on me.

Don't mind my craziness :)

"DO YOU SOMETIMES FEEL LIKE YOU DON'T FIT IN?
ARE YOU USED TO RELYING ONLY ON YOURSELF TO GET THINGS DONE?
DO YOU TRUST THOSE CLOSE TO YOU, BUT KEEP OTHERS AT ARM’S LENGTH?
YOU MIGHT BE A TIEFLING!"

Quote from D&D Book Warriors & Weapons

I am planning on running a tiefling monk in the next campaign I will be playing in with some friends. I figured why not a devilkin, why not try playing a devilkin monk. Could get interesting. Yeah I know I am such a geek, but I will post the backstory to this character creation at a later time. I think I may post character backgrounds in my journal. I can get very creative. Just ask those who know me. Oh wait, some of the profiles I have created in the past have been based on character creations.

Thought for the day...

It's funny how I live my life. I come and go into people's lives. Story of my life. Moving all the time. Finally, I'm settled into one place and I am still not happy. Of course, my living conditions are not the best either, living with parents with your own family because you can't afford your own place can be taxing. But that is beside the point.

I look back at how I was raised. Growing up as a kid I was afraid to break the rules. My parents held a tight reign on me. Once I left the house, I went wild as I was free. I joined the Navy. Did I make mistakes along the way? Of course, I did. But dam,n if I didn't make some very good friends along the way. Despite the distance, we call ourselves brothers and sisters.

The one thing that the military has taught me and how I survived was to play the game. Do as you are told, get the job done, question it later. No complaints. Complaining would get you into hot water. Did it stifle my freedom? Of course, it did. But I am a go-getter, a doer. I never complained. Those that did I saw get disciplined. Do you see the pattern? Oh yes it got toxic at some of the commands I was at, but those were far and few. It allowed me to see what was going on in the background by playing the game. I even had some of my superiors tell me the same thing. "Just play the game and move along." Did I agree with this? Not really.

To this day even with my job with the VA I have survived working in a toxic environment of constant bickering, gossippers, and backstabbers. I choose to ignore and just listen to them complain. Because that's what I do. I listen. You learn a lot by listening. You learn who you can trust and who you cannot. There are always two sides to every story that evolves around drama. I have been through 3 supervisors in my 8 years of working. You will always have those people around you that want to gossip, or backstab you.

Me, I hold my head up high and do as I am told. Go to work, do my job and go home. I know whom I can believe in. This was the Game that my supervisors in the military had told me. Maybe some of you here won't understand this philosophy, but this is what has kept me going. Has helped me get through troubling times and drama that I don't care to get involved in. But many would like to try and bring me into their drama. Nope, I always remain neutral. It's just best that way.

For me it's about context. It is not very efficient to have dissension in the ranks during combat so in war and in military discipline it is needed. But in peacetime one should have more freedom. I was in a helicopter accident during a training exercise when in the military in peace time but instead of being checked out was forced to do a force march after it by the orders of a gung-ho officer. I wish I would have voiced more more complaint rather than just following orders now with problems I have. I think in the right context it merits honor and virtue to follow orders especially when executive orders need following without question but there is also a time to voice your disagreement and think democratically.
